KinderSpeak, Inc, was founded by Maura White, M.S., CCC-SLP in 2006. Maura is a Baltimore native. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees from Loyola University in Maryland in 1997 and 1999 respectively. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in the state of Maryland.
Working in a variety of settings, Maura has served a diverse population, each bringing their own unique strengths and challenges. This includes individuals on the Autism spectrum, individuals with learning disabilities, dyslexia, serious emotional disturbance, down syndrome, cleft palate and cerebral palsy.
She is a mother of two children and brings a parent perspective along with her professional expertise. When she is not working, Maura enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and music. Having consistently studied music throughout her life, including piano, flute, cello, voice, and violin, she loves to share her passion for music and has seen the power of incorporating music into therapy.
